Play Areas

Outside Playarea

The outside play-area consists of two parts.

The lower part - This is mainly used for under fives, which can be secured by all the gates being closed off. In this area there is a jungle climber, I also have a transportable sand pit, and painting easel and area where children can ride on bikes etc. This area is situated in front of the kitchen so children can enjoy the freedom of indoor or outdoor play of their choice.

The higher part – This area has the trampoline, swings and slide and has a large area for running around and playing ball games. This area will be used by all children, but under fives will only be allowed in the garden whilst accompanied by myself and all children will only able to use play equipment once parents have signed disclaimer. (This can be found in my policy section).

Inside Playareas

Kitchen/diner...
In this area children have the freedom to play inside or outside as this is adjacent to the garden. In this area there is a cupboard that the children have free access to which contains, books, painting, drawing & Colouring, stencilling and play dough and activity books. There are also toys available for them to play with. Also under supervision the children will be able to do some cooking or make their own play dough as a planned activity. The kitchen area also has a stone floor which enables the children to play with outdoor toys inside such as painting easel and sandpit in-clement weather.

Living area...
This room is situated on the upper floor of the property with access from the main stairs which have safety gates at each end for the younger children. Younger children will only have access to area accompanied by myself. There are toilet facilities on both upper and lower floors of the setting. This area can be used for babies and this area is carpeted so they can roll around and play in a larger area. The room is a reasonable size so children can let of a little steam if need be. A lot of the indoor toys are situated upstairs such as construction, dolls, train sets etc. These can be used both upstairs and downstairs.
